-Use part of your meeting time to allow parents to network with other grade-level parents. Have breakout rooms after your business is done for each grade and allow parents (and kids) to chat in those rooms.
-Have a "fireside chat" with different staff members on campus to allow your parents to get to know key people. Invite your office manager, custodian, classroom aides, teachers etc. to a Zoom meeting so the parents can become familiar with all the people on campus when we can't be together right now.
-Lunch and Learns-- Have a 30 minute Zoom meeting in the middle of the day around a topic of interest to families (social-emotional health, technology, etc.).
-Have a virtual book club where you read parenting books or other topics of interest and discuss.
-Organize a scavenger hunt around town for Winter Break-- find a house with lights, a snowman, a decorated tree, etc. Families that complete the scavenger hunt get a shoutout on your Facebook page.
-CSUN has lots of distance learning resources. Check them out here. There is also a video series from them on distance learning strategies you can find here.
